Owen is here!!! He arrived at 7:34 this morning at 6 lbs 6 oz. Just like his dad! His length is 19 in which is perfect. The neonatologist and the pediatrician said that he has no signs of skeletal dysplasia. He has brown eyes, I think but I was surprised that he opened his eyes only a few minutes after he was born. The C-section was not as bad as we thought but will take some recovery time. Mom and baby are relaxing right now, trying to avoid the bad cable TV at the hospital. Feast your eyes on the cutest baby in the world. No really, we knew he would be cute, but not this cute.

Congratulations on being a new mom and dad! I just emailed you this same thing because I couldn't get this to post correctly, but now I got it to work. So, sorry for the repetition in the message.
ReplyDeleteWhat great news about the skeletal dysplasia!Owen is just adorable! I think you guys and Brock and I are out of the very few that actually have CUTE newborns! We are so happy for you--isn't it crazy how much you can love someone?
If you and Matt find the time, let Nicole and I know when it would be best to visit you at home (or if you change your mind and want us to come to the hospital instead, that's fine, too). Otherwise, we were probably going to call on Wednesday to see what would work best.
